Tips to Maintain your Computer

It is recommended that you do the following five procedures monthly at the very least:

1. Back-up your data. All hard drives die, it is just a matter of time. Most desktop IDE (normal) drives will last 3-5 years.
2. Update your antivirus scanner. If you don't keep it updated how will it recognize the latest virus when it sees it?
3. Check your hard drives for errors.
4. Defragment your hard drives.
5. Patch your Windows system files by running "Windows Update".
